Logan~6 Months Old | Utah Baby Photographer

I got to meet my nephew for the first time! He lives all the way in Ohio and we hadn't met yet. He is the cutest, smiliest 6 month old. Not shy at all. I LOVE 6 month old photo sessions. They are at such a cute age and stay put. :)
Here's this cutie-pie:
My sister wanted a picture of his chubby feet and hands. LOVE those rolls!
Luckily, they are BYU fans too. So Logan got to borrow Easton's (my son) beanie.

Gurney Family | Utah Family Photographer

I met the Gurney family on a cold December day just before Christmas. We were SO lucky that it was a pretty nice day considering how bitterly cold it's been lately! It was just lovely and we had some fun even if we were all freezing!
My return clients, were also in this bunch. It's always great to see them again!

Sandy Puc Workshop

This post is LOOOOONG overdue! I won't even say how long ago these were taken. Fall is definitely the busy season and these got put on the back-burner. :)
Anyway, I decided last-minute to go to a Sandy Puc Workshop with my friend. It was pretty good. LOTS of hands-on experience which was great! There were also several pro photographers there and I followed the Senior one around. He had some good poses and ideas. It was so nice to have access to many photographers to ask them anything. When it got too dark to shoot outside, we went in for the studio setups.  I don't own a studio but I'm getting some lights and going to play around with it this year so it was very helpful to me!
We had so many gorgeous models to choose from...

Ha! We got to go to the hotel pool and play around! THAT was fun! I would've never known how to do a setup like that. It's not too hard. Who's up for a pool shoot?!
The ring light was fun/spooky to play with. :)

Top 20 ~ Year in Review

Every year I like to do my "year in review". This year I'm a little late. :) Usually I post my favorite picture from each shoot I do. It can get pretty long. So this time, I'm trying to keep it to 20. It was hard! But with some help from my husband, I narrowed it down. I had a few firsts this year so those made the list and some setups I've never done before. Thanks to those that were patient with me when I try new things!
It seems like there's always something to learn with Photography. New for 2013? Learning studio lighting! I've got my lights! I just need to get backdrops and a few other things and, of course learning more about studio lighting then I'll be good to go! Enjoy...
My first birth story. That was amazing and definitely made the list!

There you go! I had a wonderful year and I'm always so grateful for my long-time clients and new clients. You're the best!
Like what you see? Then, we might be a good fit! Email me at missy@xp-photography.com and we can set up a photo session. Let's make some memories!
