Aubrey's Baptism Pictures | Utah Child Photographer

Aubrey is so excited to be baptized and become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon). She is almost 8 and then she will be able to be baptized...sooooo too bad her birthday isn't in the summer! Aubrey was FREEEEEZING! So we worked fast and threw on a coat and basked in the sun whenever we could. Luckily we did it when we did because the temps dropped even more and it was a blizzard for the next few days. Whew!
They turned out gorgeous! She is such a beautiful girl who I've gotten to take pictures of since she was a baby.
Aren't her shoes cute??! Love the color pop!
I also whipped up a baptism invitation. I just love designing cards!

Lighting Workshop | Utah Photographer

I love learning new things and brushing up on the old stuff too. It's also fun to talk photography all day with people that like to do that too! It was also a bonus to meet in the Pioneer Book. They just opened it and it is amazing! I want to do a photo session in there sometime!
I've been to one of April and Doug's workshops before. They are great! I always learn a lot and they take the time to make sure you understand everything.
And here's the beautiful, Bethany, from BP Film. If you need a videographer, she's amazing! (Some of us got to be models...SO not my thing!)

Carolina was gorgeous too! Also a photographer...here's her work.

Like I said, we all had to be a model...I like how Sara looks like she's very amused with this book. :) You can check out her work here.
After a yummy lunch, we messed around with studio lighting. (Studio on the left and natural on the right...I still prefer natural.)

Carolina looked pretty natural here with these stobes. I loved this one!

Then we went outside for about 5 minutes to try balancing harsh sun with a strobe. The wind was tunneling through the alley so we were freezing and went inside pretty quickly!

I "mustache" you a question...

...will you be mine? We went with the mustache theme this year. I played with my lights and took their pictures with the help of my patient husband. :) The kids thought it was pretty fun and picked out the sayings they wanted on their Valentine's cards. I'm lovin' how they turned out.
Cambree was cracking me up with her Ricco impersonation from "Napolean Dynamite". :)
And Easton kept wanting his picture taken...I was happy to oblige. He's so cute!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Ruffner Family | Utah Family Photographer

I was excited and maybe a little scared to do my friend's family pictures. You see, she is a photographer too. A fabulous one! Here's her blog: http://www.rocklovephotography.com/ It's always a little nerve-wracking...but I will get her back this spring when she does our family pictures. :)
Her family was so easy and so fun!! And beautiful. Doesn't get much better than that!
What a beautiful couple! Isn't she gorgeous? You wouldn't believe she has a 16 year old. I love how all these turned out!
 Ha! They are so goofy!

I think they all know what to do when a camera comes out. That's definitely a plus to photographing a photographer's family. RAWR!
 Girls, you are gorgeous!

Handsome boys...even if they were pulling faces 1/2 the time. :)

And here's where the bloopers come in. This is what I was talking about with the pulling faces comment:
 Photo-bomb!
